JB Academy members have been notching up the wins recently. Ella Jones won three classes at Rockhampton, while Abbie Ellison and Jess Parker qualified for the Blue Chip Championships. Congrats!

The 2016 JB Academy Awards ball was held at Tortworth Court in Gloucestershire on the 22nd October. It was great to see the friendships made through the year and it was a fantastic night had by all. Winners of the awards were:

The results keep flying in from the JB Academy riders.

  • Megan Mackenzie picked up a 2nd at West Wilts.
  • Casey Reynolds jumped double clear for her school.
  • Sophie Reeves secured two seconds in the Britsh Novice and Discovery.

March training was a huge success with very high numbers attending both days.

The JB Academy went to Bicton three-day show. Lots of experience gained. JB camps fall once again with slight different format: Johnathan taking a horse and doing a live demo. We welcomed new Rider of the Month sponsor, Raging Bull Clothing. Dodson and Horrell (feed) join the Academy team, too. Thanks for your continued support.

The first Academy training session for 2016-2017 was a success. Held at Laylandcourt, members were put through their paces over a course of fences by Johnathan, with lots of tips and homework to take away.

Johnathan hosted a JB Academy workshop on 10 August 2016 at his facility. Nine riders came to polish their technique and knowledge through training sessions and video analysis. Great day had by all.

Today the JB Academy members and their family and friends took part in an adventure afternoon with wall climbing, archery & bbq. The JB Academy offers comprehensive training alongside great social activities for riders.

The January JB Academy Workshop focused on the horse's anatomy: Johnathan gave a presentation and demonstration, which was followed by an afternoon lower limb dissection by special guests from Sparsholt College. The day was well-attended and proved the importance of learning horsemanship. Images from the day can be found in the JB Academy Gallery

This year's edition of the JB Academy was launched at Countrywide with over 60 members joining. The launch night was a huge success and we look foward to seeing the progress of the riders throughout the season.

The JB Academy show held at Leigh Stud on Saturday 16 July saw many members compete in a variety of classes. The Puissance was won by Jess Parker, jumping 1.40m on her horse Ninety Nine, an eight-year-old gelding. New photos have been added to the Academy gallery from the day, available to view here

This year's JB Academy members are the strongest riders we have had since the academy started in 2012. There are many of the riders attending shows on a regular basis and coming back with some great results. Monthly training sessions have been very well attended.
